DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE. King Air and PT-6
experience preferred. Please contact Bob Patterson
bpatterson@flyingmission.org
This is a salaried position.
has
been awarded the ‘Air Ambulance’ contract by the Botswana
Ministry of Health for the next 2 years. This is a serious
answer to prayer. This contract forms the back bone of the
Botswana flight operation. They are flying a King Air C90 an
average of 75 hours a month moving critical patients from
the more remote areas of Botswana to either Gaborone or
Francistown.

bonus is that this contract requires 2 crew. FMS can offer
co-pilot positions on the King Air with minimal pay to low
time pilots (250-300 hours TT and a multi-engine rating)
looking to build time with a Christian organization in an
overseas setting. A minimum of a 1 year contract is

Mechanics Needed Fast paced maintenance shop
in Everett, WA needs top-notch, experienced
mechanics and IAs. Must have the heart of a teacher
and a love of general aviation. We are a teaching
shop and frequently have new A&P mechanics building
time before crossing the bridge to the mission
field. We are a small, personal, Christian-run
group. Customer aircraft range from small
experimental aircraft to Cessna 340s. We are also
the local service center for Robinson Helicopter.
This variety makes for a shocking lack of boredom
and an excellent learning experience for the
trainees. The ideal candidate must have a passion
for people and the patience of a saint. For more
information, check out our website at
www.NormanAviation.com. Email questions to:
Lisa@NormanAviation.com. Relocation assistance
may be available.
New C206/C207 horizontal
stabilizer leading edge STC now available. (click to
view pdf)
It is primarily useful to those operating on gravel or rocky
landing strips. MAF modified many of their airplanes under
a field approval. They have several years of field
experience with it and can't say enough good about it. It
extends the lives of their horizontals by 4-5 times.
The mod replaces the wrap around Cessna horizontal skin with
3 pieces of skin. The original skin was 0.020. The new
leading edge is made from 0.040 and is held in place with
screws. It withstands much greater abuse without damage.
When it is damaged, it can be quickly and easily replaced
without rebuilding the entire stabilizer or even removing it
from the airplane. The bottom skin is upgraded to 0.025.
Either upper of lower skin can be replaced by itself and
since the structure remains rigid, a jig is not necessary.
The list price for the STC is $2195, but the owner will give
a discount to missions. Until the end of 2007 the mission
price will be even further reduced to $1600.
